Biography

Thoughts on opponent, Keita Nakamura? My opponent is a true veteran and has seen and done it all. I feel his extended years fighting have slowed him a little and it encourages me to really up the pace and bring the fight to him. It will be a dream come true to score a KO in the legendary Saitama Super Arena.

TRAINING: This fight camp has actually been a very active one. I lost my home gym to a flood, which forced and allowed me to have open evenings every night, instead of teaching classes. I travel around town each morning for a grappling or striking session, head home to eat and rest, then hit another session at another gym or get in a conditioning workout. A lot of running and new gyms and training partners this camp. I was out of my comfort zone a lot, which is very beneficial when fighting in a foreign country.

When and why did you start training for fighting? Began training in January of 2007. Interest in fighting was sparked by Fedor vs. Coleman fight when he was 15.
