Biography

TRAINING: Two sessions per day of balanced training

Thoughts on opponent, Thiago Alves? I like that he is experienced. I used to watch his fights and I liked his style. Now it’s time to test myself against him and I feel lucky.

When and why did you start training for fighting? This is my favorite sport and it’s my hobby. I’ve been doing sports since I was nine years old.

What ranks and titles have you held? M-1 Global welterweight champion

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? All the best fighters in the world are in UFC. It’s a dream come true to compete in UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied at construction college, with a degree in exploitation of auto roads and aerodromes. Right now I’m studying in sport science.

What was your job before you started fighting? I never had a real job. After university I went to the army and then dedicated myself to sports.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Master of Sport in Hand to Hand combat, Master of sport in MMA, candidate for Master of Sport in Judo
