Anistavio MedeirosTRAINING: Normally my first training session is at noon, where I work a lot on jiu-jitsu and wrestling. During the afternoon I rest and at night we give priority to the standup.
When and why did you start training to become a fighter? I was the youngest of five brothers and I was tired of getting beat up. I wanted to learn how to defend myself. What ranks and titles have you held? Three-time state champion (Rio Grande do Norte) and one-time North-Northeast champion of jiu-jitsu. Won some boxing and kickboxing fights. Jiu jitsu and kickboxing black belt. Do you have any heroes? Dragon Ball Z's Goku. What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The dream of an entire life of hard work. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No, I never liked to study. What was your job before you started fighting? Bartender, waiter, chicken slaughterer. Favorite grappling technique: double leg Favorite Striking technique: kicks
