Jared RollinsTRAINING: Mon-Fri twice a day 10am-noon and 6:30pm-9pm. If I have a fight coming up, its hell week all day - live sparring, conditioning, and sub grappling, with strikes and conditioning in the mornings. Saturdays is conditioning and sparring, Sunday is rest and recovery because Monday it starts again. When I don’t have a fight coming up, training is cardio-based with a lot of drilling. When and why did you start training for fighting? May 1, 1999. Why? See below. Do you have any heroes? I'm heroless What is your favorite technique? Elbows from the top sucka, uhhhhhh! What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Everything in the world. I’ve been waiting for eight years to step into the Octagon and express myself by doing what I do best. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Chapman University and graduated with a B.A. in advertising What was your job before you started fighting? I started training in jiu-jitsu and fighting when I was in college. I would keep training and work a job to keep my mom happy. Then after about six months to a year, I'd quit and go back to training and fighting full time. This was an on and off occurrence until one day I realized that sometimes you have to stop worrying about making others happy and do what makes you happy, even if it upsets the people most important to you in your life. Martial arts and fighting is my life. I am a modern day samurai. That’s all I know and that’s what I do best.
