Biography
TRAINING: A typical day of training is pretty much the same old stuff - conditioning in the morning, which for me consists of a CrossFit workout and maybe some running or hill sprints. And in the evening my MMA training, which is a mix of everything depending on the day of the week. As you get older and later in your career you realize it's more about quality training and not quantity, getting the training you need while staying uninjured.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 1999 to prove to myself and to others that I belong in the UFC.
What ranks and titles have you held? Maximum Fighting - # 1 AFC LHW Champ
Do you have any heroes? Lance Armstrong and Randy Couture
What is your favorite technique? You will see it on April 30th.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s fulfilling my dream, but I want to win in the UFC.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I did go to college and have a degree in criminology.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a Correctional Officer, but I fight full-time now.
