TRAINING: 3 or 4 times per week I start at 8am by running 3 miles, then at 12:30 I train technique, alternating wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu, and at night I do my strength and conditioning, which is adapted to the fight training.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training Jiu-Jitsu in my hometown. One day Minotauro Nogueira was in town and needed someone to train with, he believed in me and took me to train in Rio de Janeiro, where I have been since.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s great being a part of this great organization.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to veterinary school but left school 1 year before graduating to pursue my dream of being a fighter.
What was your job before you started fighting? Prior to fighting I was a vet student.
