TRAINING: The routine is intense. I train twice a day. I'll train at noon and the first part ends after almost three hours. After lunch I'll take care of the day to day commitments, then rest, since at seven o'clock I turn to the second part of the training.

Thoughts on opponent, Mizuto Hirota? I will face a fighter with a good skill set who is very strong. I'm training hard to face him and I know it will be a good fight for me. I'll get very well prepared.

When and why did you start training to become a fighter? At 16. With the encouragement of my sister Carina Damm, I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What ranks and titles have you held? Third degree BJJ black belt, former member of the Brazilian National Wrestling team.

Do you have any heroes? Jesus Christ

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a dream come true to fight in the biggest fighting event on earth.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, Physical Education

What was your job before you started fighting? I have done many things - I was a key maker and construction worker

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Seven-time Brazilian BJJ champ, seven-time Brazilian Wrestling champ, World BJJ champ

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Bodog Fight 155 champ
