Biography

TRAINING:A typical day of training usually consists of a conditioning workout in the morning (11:00 – 12:30), and afternoon MMA-specific training sessions (19:00 – 22:00) that consist of all aspects of MMA combat – boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, luta livre and ground-and-pound.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started with MMA through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2003. I have been in sports since I was five years old – karate, basketball, boxing, wrestling, etc. I started studying in the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in 1999. In the beginning of my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, it was a logical move for BJJ practitioners to make the transition into MMA, and that is how my career started and that is what made me fall in love with MMA.

What ranks and titles have you held? Luta Livre black belt 1 DAN – under Daniel D'Dane, Marcio Cromado Ramos Barbosa and Alexandre Pequeno Nogueira. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Ricardo de la Riva – hopefully, I will be earning a black belt this year. Judo black belt, Multiple-time Serbian national champion in BJJ, grappling and Luta Livre; champion of Open Israel Championship 2010

Do you have any heroes? No

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? To fight in the UFC is a dream come true.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes. University Educons - Faculty of business in service. Course of study:  Management in service

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a trainer with my brother in our gym, as well as on security jobs in my country.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? I am extremely proud of the fact that I haven’t been defeated for ten years now and that I have a chance to continue my 10-fight winning streak in the biggest MMA organization in the world - UFC.
