Biography

TRAINING: Morning strength and conditioning followed by good ol’ manual labor with my lawn care and landscaping company, then MMA training at night.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I wanted to keep competing after my college football career didn’t work out, and wrestling doesn’t pay the bills. I love the sport and what better way is there to prove how tough you are?

What ranks and titles have you held? BJJ purple belt

Do you have any heroes? The men and women defending our country.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is every "real" fighter’s dream. The UFC is the cream of the crop and home to the best fighters in the world. This has been my goal since I started fighting as an amateur. 39 fights later, the dream has come true.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Joliet Junior College

What was your job before you started fighting? I own a lawn care and snow removal company

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Several amateur titles and winner of the St. Louis Breakout Fighter of the Year award.

Favorite grappling technique: Knee tap

Favorite striking technique: Up jab
