When and why did you start training for fighting? I started with Karate when I was just 12 years old. Fighting was in my blood. I kept asking my parents to send me to Karate class. It took me three years for them to approve it. Once I started, I wanted to be the best. I love challenges. I became a multiple-time Polish Champion in Full Contact Kyokushinkai Karate and placed 2nd at the Europeans. After 450 Karate fights, I thought it was time for another challenge. Five and a half years ago, I started with MMA. I really love it, as it is very versatile. Now I not only need to practice my striking but also incorporate wrestling and ground fighting. It really is the ultimate martial art.

What ranks and titles have you held? Two-time Polish Champion Kyokushinkai Karate 2010 and 2012, 2nd place European Championship Karate 2012, FFC European MMA Champion LHW, Number 1 ranking ONE Championship.

Do you have any heroes? Andy Hug has been my hero since I was a kid.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a great adventure for me. I am sure the greatest challenges so far I will find in the UFC. I can’t wait to compete against all the top fighters in my division and prove that I belong amongst the best in the world.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? University degree in Marketing and Management, Master Degree in Finance

What was your job before you started fighting? I just had part time jobs to support my fighting career. I sacrificed everything to become the best in the world.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Two-time time Polish Champion Kyokushinkai Karate 2010 and 2012, 2nd place European Championship Karate 2012, European Champion Amateur Shooto 2013, Dutch Open Grappling Champion 2014
