TRAINING: Wake up, eat oatmeal! Then depending on the day I start at Renzo Gracie Philly. We do BJJ followed by hard MMA or sparring. I then hit pads with my striking coach or do strength and conditioning and end my night working specific fight stuff with Daniel.
Thoughts on opponent, Jason Saggo? I think he is a very calm, focused fighter like myself. He's dangerous on the ground and I know he's working on his Muay Thai. I respect his skill set but think I have what it takes to upset him in front of his hometown.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I have done martial arts since I was 12. I was always super competitive and hated losing. Once MMA picked up it was a matter of time before I got involved.
What ranks and titles have you held? I am the CFFC Lightweight champion.
Do you have any heroes? My family.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means I get to really start my career. In my opinion I'm 0-0 now. I didn't make it yet. This is just a baby step.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes. University of the Arts. I actually went to acting school!
What was your job before you started fighting? Bouncing, bartending, stuff like that.
