Info

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training for fighting when I checked out a little boxing gym back in 2012 when I moved from Baltimore to Texas, trying to make friends in the new area. It became my obsession, and after success in kickboxing and Muay Thai matches, my coach at the time signed me up for my first amateur match. After that, I was hooked.

What ranks and titles have you held? I held the 125 amateur title at SCS in Oklahoma. I’m ranked #9 in Texas, #7 in Oklahoma, and #20 in the US Southwest. I was also voted funniest cast member amongst my fellow TUF cast.

Do you have any heroes? My hero would have to be my Mom, being such a hard working woman coming from a small world in Jamaica and becoming as successful in this country as she is. I also admire Bob Marley’s philosophy on living. Wendy Simmons is my Business Manager and close friend and she has always been a true hero of mine.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? To fight in the UFC means that what I tell my students is true. You can achieve any goal if you believe in yourself, work hard, and take a chance. I am a 2-1 pro fighter very new to this game with a generous amount of unique skill and ability that the world will get a chance to see.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Towson University and earned my degree in Family Studies - Services to Children & Youth

What was your job before you started fighting? I am an elementary schoolteacher.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Badass, orbital shattering, Fight of the Night earning, crowd pleasing striking. And looking good while I’m doin’ it.

Favorite grappling technique: Wrestling.
