Two of the UFC's premier lightweights will square off in Dallas on May 13, as former world champion Eddie Alvarez returns to battle No. 10-ranked Dustin Poirier in a UFC 211 bout at American Airlines Center.
In the UFC 211 main event, heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic defends his crown against Junior Dos Santos, and in the co-main event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends her strawweight title against Jessica Andrade.
Back in action for the first time since his UFC 205 bout with Conor McGregor, Philadelphia's Alvarez hopes a win over Poirier will get him to the front of the line as he pursues a second title. But Louisiana's Poirier has momentum on his side after a big Fight of the Night win over Jim Miller in February.
