Backstrom vs. Lahat Announced for UFC Berlin Event

UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: GUSTAFSSON vs. TEIXEIRA further boosted with new matchup
London – UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: GUSTAFSSON vs. TEIXEIRA is fast becoming the must-see event of the 2015 European calendar, with three new fantastic match ups announced in as many days; the latest being a battle between Niklas Backstrom and Noad Lahat.

Swedish featherweight Backstrom, who won his UFC® debut against Tom Niinimaki at last year’s UFC®FIGHT NIGHT: MUNOZ vs. MOUSASI, will look to return to winning ways following a defeat to Mike Wilkinson on Backstrom’s home soil in Sweden, back in October 2014.

Lahat, who fights out of San Jose, California and holds a record of 8-1-0, is a Judo specialist. The featherweight secured a win over Steven Siler at UFC FIGHT NIGHT: LAWLER vs. BROWN in July 2014 and will no doubt be looking to continue this winning form as he heads towards June 20.

The card’s main event, meanwhile, will see No.2 ranked light heavyweight, Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson, face No.6 ranked, Glover Teixeira as the Swede makes his comeback to the Octagon following his defeat to Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson in January.

Tickets to the highly anticipated UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: GUSTAFSSON vs. TEIXEIRA will go on sale on Friday, April 24. Fans can register their interest for tickets here:
