Read on for Fight Night Barueri main event results...

Showing off the precision striking that has become his trademark, Brazilian middleweight contender Lyoto Machida ended the final UFC event of 2014 quickly and decisively Saturday night, knocking out CB Dollaway in just 62 seconds at the Ginasio Jose Correa in Barueri, Brazil.

After the two tentatively circled each other as the fight opened, Machida’s first significant strike, a left kick to the body, stunned Dollaway and sent him reeling into the fence. Belem, Brazil’s Machida followed with a barrage of punches and Dollaway hit the deck, with another unanswered series of strikes bringing in referee Jerin Valel to halt the bout.
Machida celebrates his knockout victory
“CB is a very tough fighter, but the kick landed and I saw that he felt it and I went in for the finish,” Machida said.

With the win, the 36-year-old Machida, who was in action for the first time since a July loss to middleweight champion Chris Weidman, improves to 22-5; Arizona’s Dollaway falls to 16-7.
