Jacare vs. Romero Set for UFC 184

In a case of the rich getting richer, the UFC 184 card at Los Angeles' STAPLES Center on February 28 has added another stellar matchup, as top ten middleweights Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Yoel Romero will join main eventers Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort on the star-studded show.

Previously announced bouts for UFC 184 include Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva vs. Frank Mir.

A renowned submission artist from Brazil who has added a lethal striking game to his arsenal, former Strikeforce champion Souza extended his current win streak to seven in September when he avenged a 2008 loss to Gegard Mousasi by submitting his foe in the third round.

A 2000 Olympic Silver medalist in freestyle wrestling for Cuba, Romero has turned into a knockout artist in MMA, with four of his five UFC wins coming by way of strikes. In September, Romero halted Tim Kennedy in the third round, earning Fight of the Night honors in the process.
