Newcomer Uda Faces Collier in Vegas

The Octagon return of Keith Berish has been put on hold due to injury. But the UFC Fight Night middleweight bout at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on May 29 will proceed as scheduled, with UFC newcomer Alberto Uda now facing Jake Collier.

The card, which airs on FOX Sports 1, is headlined by the bantamweight showdown between unbeatens Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt.

Unbeaten in nine pro fights, Santa Catarina, Brazil's Uda has finished eight of those wins, four by KO and four by submission, with his most recent victory being a first round knockout of UFC vet Thiago Perpetuo in December. Owner of a 9-3 pro record, Collier owns a UFC win over Ricardo Abreu, and he looks to bounce back from a November loss to Dongi Yang this May.
