Davis vs. Bader Added to Stockholm Card

London, UK – UFC® Fight Night Stockholm, which went on sale today, is fast becoming the must-see event of 2015 and the event just got even bigger as the UFC today announced the latest world-class matchup, Davis vs Bader.

As no. 5 ranked Phil “Mr Wonderful” Davis vs no. 8 ranked Ryan “Darth” Bader is added to the roster, alongside Gustafsson vs Johnson and Henderson vs Mousasi, the event will see six of the UFC’s® finest light heavyweight contenders go to battle on Saturday 24th January at the Tele2 Arena.

Both fighters have recently made waves in the light heavyweight division with wins over Glover Teixeira and Ovince Saint Preux, respectively. With Davis, fighting out of San Diego, CA, USA, winning four of his last five matchups and Bader, fighting out of Tempe, AZ, USA, having a three-fight win streak behind him, both athletes will be looking to solidify their position on January 24th as one of the top-ranked fighters in the light heavyweight division.  

“I'm going out to get this win and that is exactly what is going to happen” Bader says. “Phil is a great fighter and a win against him will keep my momentum going in 2015.”

“I'm excited to fight in front of the passionate fans of Sweden” Bader continues “the fans there are amazing, I can't imagine how electric the stadium will be. I'll be looking forward to feeding off of the crowd and putting on a good show for these fans.”

As well as focusing on his on matchup, Bader will have a close eye on the headline bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson, “this is a great fight between two amazing fighters in our division and I will be watching as a fan of the UFC just like everyone else in the stadium. I'm looking forward to it!”

The event will be broadcast live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with Prelims starting at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1.
