Jones vs. Teixeira Gets New Date (Again)

The next bout for UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has an official date -- for the third and hopefully final time -- as "Bones" will look to extend his record-setting title defense streak against Brazilian powerhouse Glover Teixeira at UFC 171 on Saturday, March 15 at Dallas' American Airlines Center.
 
The Jones-Teixeira bout was originally announced as the headliner for the February 1 card in Newark, and then shuffled to February 22, but the champion's lingering injuries forced the second delay.
 
Jones' most recent opponent, Alexander Gustafsson, will fight the week before at UFC London on March 8. Should both men win convincingly, they are expected to rematch at some point in 2014.

Tickets for UFC 171 go on sale January 17.
